Big News: ChatGPT Plus and Microsoft Teams Premium
OpenAI and Microsoft Teams made major announcements today
Microsoft announced a premium version of Teams today with AI-powered productivity .
The new addition, called intelligent recap, generates automatic notes, tasks, and highlights of meetings, even if the user was not present. This feature is especially useful for employees who are in different time zones or out of the office. The notes, mentions, and transcript are available with a timeline of topics and chapters for each speaker. Some intelligent recap features will be available later in 2023.
The premium version of Teams also offers advanced meeting protections such as watermarking and labeling sensitive content and restricting recording and copying text from the meeting chat. Additionally, Teams Premium offers webinars, live translated captions, custom Together Mode scenes, and virtual green rooms.
Microsoft has made a multibillion-dollar investment in its partnership with OpenAI and plans to bring OpenAI technology to Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and may also add the AI chatbot ChatGPT to Bing. Teams Premium is now available for a trial period of 30 days and the subscription is generally available for businesses with an introductory price of $7 per month per user, which will increase to $10 per month per user on June 30th.
OpenAI also made an announcement today: the launch of the ChatGPT Plus Subscription Plan.
OpenAI, the research lab focused on advancing artificial intelligence, has announced the launch of a new subscription plan for ChatGPT, its conversational AI model. The new plan, called ChatGPT Plus, will offer subscribers a range of benefits, including general access to ChatGPT even during peak times, faster response times, and priority access to new features and improvements.
Available for $20/month, ChatGPT Plus is currently only available to customers in the United States, with plans to expand access and support to additional countries and regions soon. OpenAI continues to offer free access to ChatGPT, and the introduction of the subscription plan is aimed at supporting free access availability to as many people as possible.
ChatGPT was launched as a research preview, allowing OpenAI to learn more about the system’s strengths and weaknesses, gather user feedback, and make updates to improve its limitations. Millions of users have provided feedback and seen value in using ChatGPT for various professional use-cases, including content drafting and editing, brainstorming, programming help, and learning new topics.
OpenAI plans to refine and expand the ChatGPT Plus offering based on user feedback and needs. The company is also launching a waitlist for the ChatGPT API and exploring options for lower-cost plans, business plans, and data packs to increase availability.
